Ammonium polyphosphate (APP) is a kind of low N and high P polyphosphate,


According to the degree of polymerization, ammonium polyphosphate can be divided into oligomer, medium polymerization and high polymerization. The greater the degree of polymerization, the smaller the water solubility. The crystalline ammonium polyphosphate is water insoluble and long chain polyphosphate. Among them, the high degree of polymerization crystal II ammonium polyphosphates have significant advantages in the field of polymer materials because of its good water insolubility, high decomposition temperature and solubility in polymer materials.which take significant advantages in the field of polymer materials.


Crystal type II ammonium polyphosphate has the characteristics of low toxicity, low smoke and inorganic, so it is a new type of high efficiency inorganic flame retardants.

Main usage

①Flame retardant industry use:

Polymerization degree below 20, it is called oligomeric APP, and when the polymerization degree is above 500, it is called high polymer APP.

The oligomeric water-soluble APP is mainly used in the flame retardant of cellulose materials such as paper and wood.

APP with high degree of polymerization is widely used in expandable fireproof coating, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, epoxy resin, rubber products, fibre board and dry powder fire extinguishing agent, etc.

It is a safe and efficient nitrogen and phosphorus non-halogen smoke extinguishing flame retardant.


②Fertilizer use:

Ammonium polyphosphate with low degree of polymerization can be used as water soluble fertilizer to supplement the nitrogen and phosphorus requirements of plants.
