Barium chloride, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula BaCl2, is a white crystal, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, insoluble in ethanol and ether, easily hygroscopic, commonly used as an analytical reagent, dehydrating agent, raw material for the manufacture of barium salts and in electronics, instrumentation, metallurgy and other industries.
Application
1. Mainly used in metal heat treatment, for the production of heat treatment salt, can be used as a heat treatment agent in mechanical processing
2. As analytical reagent, determination of sulphate and selenate, chromatographic analysis, analysis of platinum intravenous injection solution, etc.
3. Used in the manufacture of other barium salt raw materials, such as barium hydroxide, barium nitrate, barium carbonate, etc.
4. Surface hardening treatment of steel
