Diethyl carbonate (DEC), is an organic compound, chemical formula C5H10O3, is a colorless liquid, insoluble in water, miscible soluble in alcohol, ketones, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons and other most organic solvents, mainly used as organic synthesis, drug synthesis intermediates, can also be used as resin, oil, nitrocellulose and cellulose ether solvent.

Used in lithium battery industry：
