Properties: Paraformaldehyde is a white flammable crystalline powder with formaldehyde odor. Dissolves slowly in cold water and quickly in hot water. Formaldehyde is released in dissolution. Insoluble in ethanol, ether, soluble in caustic soda, potassium solution.

Detailed Applications:
In industry: chemical raw materials herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, disinfectants, high-grade coatings, dyes, synthetic resins, papermaking additives, developers and other raw materials.
In the application of new materials: after the depolymerization of polyformaldehyde, formaldehyde is formed in solution, which can be used as fumigant, disinfectant, fungicide and fixative. Polyformaldehyde reacts with phenol, urea, melamine or resorcinol to form a resin. It is also used to produce inks for a variety of ink applications, such as US dollar bills, books, and other printing materials.
